Cooking Class

I am both teacher and leaner in India.  Any good sociologist should know that cuisine is the basis of substance and social solidarity within a culture.  Therefore I took an Indian cooking class to learn the basics.  To be honest, I took it for the love of Indian food and was probably the most fun college class I have ever seen.

We are already in advanced training
Preparing the meat, somehow designated "man's work"

Stoves are like much of India, confusing... what is off and what is on?
Fresh chicken

I got stuck on potato duty, clearly I'm being stereotyped as an Idahoan

Chopping vegetables

Jacob gives his famous "On the Spot Guidance," kinda like Kim Jong Il

My potatoes somehow became a delicious massala, spiced perfect

The bread

We each took turns learning to fry, like Americans, Indians love fried stuff.
